Biodiversity Walk with Jim Hurley

Jim Hurley is a nature enthusiast who lives on the south coast of County Wexford. Inspired from his interaction with the natural world in that wonderful coastal amenity, his two objectives are to help publicise the natural heritage resource values of that outstanding natural asset and to campaign for their conservation. He works to achieve these objectives and spread the word about the heritage value of the South Wexford Coast via talks, walks, presentations, articles, leaflets and reports. Jim guided a most informative session in Kilmore Quay in 2025, and this year will bring his vast experience and expertise to our guided biodiversity walk of Our Lady's Island.ย

Meet in the car park (52.210143, -6.381515) opposite the church in Lady's Island village for a 2pm start on a relaxed and leisurely, one-hour, looped walk on the pilgrimage path around Lady's Island; a journey by water and across time exploring the exceptionally rich historical, scientific, and spiritual heritage of a beautiful, peaceful place.

The event takes place at Our Lady's Island, Wexford. All are welcome โ€” booking is required, see the link above.
