WGOA exhibition

We are delighted to collaborate with the Waterford Gallery of Art (WGOA) in presenting two significant exhibitions: work by artist Maura Culbert, and a curated selection of photographic works originally shown in WGOA’s recent exhibition, The Sea Around Us.

Culbert’s work was selected by first-year Visual Art students at SETU’s Waterford campus as part of a workshop hosted at the gallery in winter 2025. The students chose the work for its strong emotional impact and its powerful connection to this year’s festival theme. Maura Culbert will give a short introduction to her work on Thursday 23 April at the College Street Campus. This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.

The photography exhibition brings together three distinct projects that explore the digital image in relation to the festival theme, Drift: Journeys Across Water and Time. WGOA has kindly allowed us to re-exhibit selected works from their open submission The Sea Around Us. In addition, Conexus has contributed selected images from their own open submission, alongside further photographic work by SETU students.

The event takes place at Canteen, College Street Campus, Waterford. All are welcome and free to attend.
